After finishing cancer treatment, I remember standing on the beach in Fort Myers, feeling the ocean breeze for the first time in what felt like forever. That condo, that view, that moment—it was healing in ways I can’t fully explain.

This month, I had the chance to return to that same spot. After the devastation from the hurricane, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But walking in, I was blown away—literally and emotionally. The condo has been beautifully rebuilt, and the town is slowly but surely coming back to life.

It felt like another kind of full-circle moment. A reminder that we, too, can rebuild. That beauty returns. That hope rises again.

Fort Myers, you’ll always have a piece of my heart.
